LIFE – Latinos Investing in Financial Education

During FFLS sessions, employed individuals, both alumni and community members, have expressed an interest in learning about specific topics that pertain to them as established, working adults, including college financial assistance, asset building, retirement planning, investment information, credit scores/ratings, will and estate planning, homeownership, and entrepreneurship.

LIFE seeks to provide individual financial planning in more in-depth comprehensive sessions. While FFLS has proven to be useful to those just entering the workforce and gaining full-time employment, SCJ is reaching out to those who are already employed or who would like to start their own business in order to help develop long-term strategies for financial stability and growth.

Through the funding of Citigroup Foundation’s Community Scholar Intern Program (CSIP), SCJ is soliciting feedback and surveys of community members to uncover additional specific financial needs of employed individuals of the surrounding neighborhoods and provide more in-depth, comprehensive financial education that will help working adults to plan their financial futures.
