National Latino Education Institute. will offer a FREE series
of hands-on workshops for the community and entrepreneur. The
short sessions, choice of six, will be offered at two
locations and in English and Spanish languages. New classes
begin every two weeks. The offerings include MSWord, MSExcel,
Internet usage, and navigation tips for business and all
community residents. The series is geared also to people
who need to “brush up” on their computer skills
and are interested in learning of the latest updates to
the software programs. The seminars are free as a result
of a grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and
Economic Opportunity; however, registration is required.
All sessions are free of charge and open to adults 18+
years old. You can register for one workshop or an entire
series. “Many people are curious about computers
and their software programs,” says, Elba Aranda-Suh,
Director, Spanish Coalition for Jobs, “these short
seminars will serve as an opportunity to get some hands-on
training with computers and learn what they can do with
them.” Space is limited so register early.
