SCJ TOP HONORS IN EDUCATIONAL ACCREDITATION

The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges Schools(ACICS) recognized Spanish Coalition for Jobs (SCJ) as an Honor Roll Institution at their 2006 annual meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada. Agency director, Elba Aranda-Suh has been invited to accept, in person, the recognition award on behalf of SCJ. Ms. Aranda-Suh has served as agency director since 1998 and has over 15 years experience in the field of education. “This is a great, great honor that we, teachers and staff, especially the dean of accreditation and curricula work so hard to achieve,” said, Aranda-Suh, “our educational programs are designed to achieve a particular level of excellence; and it is exciting news that our accomplishments have been selected to be publicly recognized by a national organization.”

Evaluated in September 2005, Spanish Coalition for Jobs demonstrated exemplary standards. The ACICS acknowledged the achievement by awarding an 8-year grant of accreditation to offer programs through the (certificate/diploma) level through December 2013. The Council recognizes that the attainment of an eight-year grant of accreditation is a worthy acknowledgment of an institution’s quality.

SCJ educational career programs allow students a progression for gradual positive outcomes. With a diversity of students, it supports short-term certificate programs that lead into degree programs, establishing the credentials necessary for career employment while advancing their education.

The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS) an independent, non-profit, higher education organization accredits private, postsecondary institutions in the United States and abroad.
